This pendant necklace is based on an ornate Saxon gold ring which was created sometime between the 7th-9th centuries. I immediately fell in love with this design and decided to breathe new life into this ancient, medieval art.
Decorative Granulation is arranged in an open cruciform on a circular disc accompanied by raised boarders and detailing. A bold and classic composition, reminiscent of gothic ecclesiastical architecture. The pendant lies flat against the wearer and hammered granules twinkle in the light.
Suspended centrally on a 17.5 inch diamond cut curb chain complete with a bolt ring closure.
Pendant size 15mm
